Money is the number two reason for divorce in the US. And that’s not surprising. If you didn’t grow up talking about money, it can be a difficult topic to approach with your partner. Maybe he spends and you save. Maybe you have different money goals. Or maybe one person has A LOT of debt.
The first real step is opening up those lines of communication and making some rules, so y’all never fight about money.

How to Have a Conversation about Money
Personally, I love to have money dates with my partner so we are always on the same page about money. It sounds nerdy, but it ensures that we are always on the same page about money. We never fight about it (anymore!) and we always have transparency with each other.
In our latest Youtube video, I answers questions from my Instagram audience about how to stop fighting about money as a couple, how to find ways to manage money better and how to manage your money when you want separate bank accounts.
We also have a workbook, First Comes Love, Then Comes Money, all about couple’s money.
